Top Wii Game For Kids: Lego Star Wars Complete Saga

We love this game for kids - Lego Star Wars: The Complete Saga is one of those play it forever type games. We used this game so much it was all scratched up and finally stopped working!  It's fun for younger kids age 8+, who are familiar with the Star Wars movies and tee vee shows and cartoons. (Note: Some parents may not approve of the sward play and cartoon violence, so check the reviews and descriptions if this is an issue for you.)

Leggo my Star Wars

We've set a side Sundays as game day, and the first one he wants to play is the "complete saga." What's great for my son is that it isn't super challenging. If your character dies, they regenerate on the spot. I'm a star wars fan too, the game is fun because it follows along the star wars saga. The game may not have the best graphics, but it has the best story line ever!

Hours and hours of fun

If you love Star Wars, you will have hours and hours of fun. Even if you don't love Star Wars, it is still really fun. There are so many levels and ways to play. Once you finish a level, you can return and play it with any number of characters that you have met or purchased. It is challenging, but not frustrating, like other role playing / adventure games. Also, half the fun is watching the movie sequences with LEGOs humorous ad-libs on the original Star Wars sequences. I love it!!

My 8 year old son loves this game and I think it is ok too.

My 8 year old son loves this game. With the complete saga you get quite a bit of gaming here for a very reasonable price. My favorite feature of the game is that a second player can jump in and play or leave at any time, even when the game is in progress. This is nice for a Dad who can't quite keep up with his son's video game habits.

Fun, but still a bit violent.

by N. Rutherford from on 2010-08-24
My 9 yr old son really likes this game, but mom thinks it's still a bit too violent. Sure they're lego figures, but they're still punching each other and trying to destroy each other. I like the fighter starcraft stuff, but not the battles the figures have to do. We also don't like that you can't save in the middle of a level, you need to start over from the beginning of that level. My son does like going through the game and remembering the different scenes from the movie and knowing what comes next, which is fun.

Lots of cheap thrills. Just don't expect too much depth.

The Lego games are simple and very fun, especially with a friend. They make kid games that adults can enjoy right along with younger generations. So, while there's not an immense amount of innovation and mind blowing gameplay; this is still an affordable little bundle of a good time.

There are many levels for this game, you can play through all six Star Wars movies.  Even after you beat all the levels you can go back in and battle using one of over 160 characters you can win throughout the game.  There are fun puzzles and special Force features with the Wii console that are hours of fun.  Best of all, this great game is under $20!  Lego Star Wars is really one of the top Wii games for kids ever made.
